Sticky, sweet(ish) tobacco with a sprinkling of pencil shavings in a leather cosmetics bag..smells considerably more beautiful than it sounds! I can't decide if I like this fragrance as yet, having only tried it a few times. 80's CostumesJem Wig Before Hannah Montana there was Jem! Unleash your 1980 pop star diva/ superhero with a Jem Wig. Unlike Hannah, your life has I hate to ask a question, but has anyone tried the perfume? JUST FOR FUN: Virgo and Capricorn women would be very well suited for this scent, especially when playing the 'love-game'. It's one of those fragrances where as the user, may enjoy the fragrance, but will never really get compliments from. However, the disaster starts when you are not that close to your wrist or the paper stripe. My best dislike, anyway. And so on! I can't say I've noticed any particular notes - just a wonderful, warm, feminine fragrance that lasts all day. He was all over me and commented on how good I smelled. And I like to get new perfumes that progress from what I already like, so Hot Couture is a great discovery. Therefore, my advice would be to save yourself a lot of money, and get Midnight Fantasy by Britney. Men, women and children love this. Fragerance is mostly linear, silage is moderate to heavy. When I'm sniffing my wrist, it smell gorgeous, like the cooling minty baby powder with some fresh sweet citrusy scent and raspberry; when I just inhaling the scent when I was walking, it smells tart, really sweet, heavy (the physical feeling is as if you are inhaling incense smoke in a temple, but it doesn't smell incense-y)and heady, somewhat reminds me a lot of Jean Paul Gaultier's Classique, big silage, weird swirl of quasi-jasmine scent plus something really dark and syrup sweet. I fell in love with this because of the delicious smell when I was about 17. A man-eater. It does cling fiercely to my clothes though. It was my least fave (hence I still have some left after all these yrs)I think because it reminded me of cotton candy. Smokey, slightly dusty peppery raspberry with a vanilla base, that doesn't lull you into an olfactory coma, but rather keeps your nostrils open in anticipqation of the next whiff you might catch! I have the Edt--I haven't smelled the Edp yet but I would love too. This is very fruity and all about the raspberries. It is a every sexy, flirty scent.

Hot couture is not a night parfum for me. I was amazed at how much oil is in this EDT when I sprayed it on my hand. One of the ways that Hot Couture differs from some of the Givenchy classics, such as Amarige, Ysatis and Organza, is that it is comparatively simpler in composition. On my skin I get only raspberry, magnolia and wood, no pepper (good!), nor vetiver (bad). Absolutely gorgeous scent! Quite distinctive. Or, it could be the underlying smell of pencil shavings running throughout "Hot Couture" (remember crank pencil sharpeners?) and something that reminds me of carbon printed report cards (remember that dry, checmically smell emanating from those pink and yellow papers?). Writers. This perfume does not agree with me. WATCH OUT!o. I find it intoxicatingly warm and sexy - would rather wear it in winter though, as it's really warm.. Monroe would have wore this fragrance had she been around now. I was blown away when she gave me the tester to try. Later on, sniffing from skin, it's peppery mint cooling powder, smell 20cm away from it, less potent JPG Classique plus some dried toothpaste smell. Expected something differant. Not have compare. It's too sweet for me to wear it and is kind of linear and boring. I still feel it on my clothes after 4!!! The drydown is softer, the raspeberry is gone and I only get musky magnolia. The 80s can serve as an excellent source for costumes. These are a few of the ideas I had, I welcome additions. I tried to stick with things that were basically born Before I got sick of it I loved it though! Best for romance/dating, semi-formal occasions, dinners and parties, but also can be worn to the office as it's not too heavy.

Sweet, sexy, sophisticated, slightly intoxicating. I'm definitely getting the 100 ml bottle tomorrow. Smell that emanates power and sensuality. The edp is a dirty rasberry, the edt is a cleaner/watery rasberry. Probably you should guess from the plain bottle and the light pink colour that there is a very "thin" fragrance. Very sweet very young. Love it as a night out scent but it is quickly becoming my favorite to wear even during the day. Hehe. Not sure if I'll both replacing, but it's a nice scent to have in the arsenal. I advise before buying get a tester and see how you like it after wearing it because the smell changed well on my skin at least. Had to buy myself another bottle today, and I've been transported back to my teenage years. I must add that the fragrance I was given and subsequently purchased 10 seconds after smelling, was in fact the original release with the silhouetted woman on the front of the bottle. Yet again, a lot of fragrances tend to do this and even more, vice versa. Since 1997, we have been offering essay-writing services to students across the world. you can always rest easy knowing that when you say "write my essay", For me is the most beautiful smell from women's fragrances - with this hot, highly obsessive smell of fresh raspbberies is extreme sexy and intrusive late in the evening and if it's on the "right" woman can be realy dangerous.. It's absolutely a sister scent to JPG Classique, which I also really like. Lasts longer too, and men seem to go gaga over it. Buy It Now & Get Free Bonus. Looked like he wanted to ask what perfume I'm wearing. A freshly opened pack of menthol cigarettes. What is that?". Can anyone tell me the real difference in the EDP and the EDT version, i want to buy this and i want to make sure i get the right one, im usualy a fruity/floral girl and i want to add a deeper scent to my collection but not to deep closer to the fruity/floral side, thanks!!! Perfect for a night out with the hen pack, where the imbibing of colorful alcoholic beverages (complete with tiny umbrellas and/or citrus peel garnish) is likely to occur. A beautiful luxurious scent. Hot couture is not specially interesting, but it smells of sweets most of the time: sugar, spicies and some fruit. At first it seemed a little old- fashioned because of the strong notes in it. This perfume is very cool, sexy in my opinion.and I really want to buy it.. A smoky, sour-sweet, dry composition is what I get out of this. I'm certainly not smelling an ashtray note on my skin, maybe a hint of sweet tobacco though. I can't run away from this fragerance fast enough - it reminds me so of Salvatore Ferragamo's "F." It's thick, cloying, and pierces my nose with its metallic, painful claws every 10 seconds. Ages ago, I purchased some perfume (Gucci Rush if I remember correctly) and got a sample of this. I went through the bottle but the sweet smell got to me eventually and now, even a decade later, I am not able to wear it again. It dries down very warm and sweet (not gourmand) with an ambar touch. I bought it 8 years ago for a winter. Some people very sexy talk aboud this fragans. Maybe a little too peppery for me, but definitely interesting. On my skin it was like a sweet candy, but I liked such sweet fragrances that time. I don't know what it is about this scent that makes me so nauseous, but it doesn't matter who i smell it on i find it repugnant! The first 5 hours are just terrible.. Thanks to rosita applebum on youtube where i first heard about this perfume! Trust me, I've tried lots of old tried and true popular sexy faves, Armani Code, Coco Madem, Hypnose, Armani Diamonds, Addict, Hypnotic Poison, Cavalli, none have been adored more by strangers and familiar faces then this one has. I really didn't like it that much but of course my husband did like it. Love this perfume. I do not consider myself a person hit or specifically "brave" as for me, the scent is romantic and subtle. I surprisingly get no pepper in this. I put it on before bed (as I always do to try out fragrances), and fell in love. I was fortunate to obtain the body cream of this in a delightful swap and it is absolutely gorgeous. I always received compliments when wearing it. I think the complexity of the scents keeps it from becoming too overt. Definitely a must-have! I imagine a sweeter version of Joan Holloway would wear this. Sure, pepper and amber may add to the suspense. Letters to the Editor of the Landing New Jersey NJ community website This is a must-try! Not a serious bone in its body. Sillage and longevity is really good!! I'm desperately in love and buying up where I can find because I understand this is a bit of a rarity or is in Australia. I get a signifigant amount of pepper in this and would definitely call it a "spicy" fragrance. Nothing smells like it. I have men in their 20s, 30s, and 40s ask me what I am wearing! All perfumes go bad, it depends on light (keep it in the box), heat (if you live on a hot place beware) and humidity (if you live in a hot humid place doubly beware, in a few years, from 3 to 5, your perfume will have a great probability of become brownish and smell only of iron oxides). This is a masterpiece for sweet lovers as it's really fruity floral. Gorgeous - get a bottle NOW! It is sweet and peppery at the same time. I am a huge pepper fan. Most scents with this combination are rose-based, and I'm just not that into rose..it dominates everything else. A couple of sprays is enough to smell it for the next 10 hours. I feel lots of similarities to Guerlain My Insolence but Hot Couture definitely has a more tolerable level of powder in the drydown, which I like.

I think the fragrance is really sweet and kind reminds me of the smell of makeup. Hot is right! So, for anyone who wants to please the male, this is your gem. Juicy orange and raspberry mixed with a hot spice. Starts out with a juicy tangy raspberry then the pepper kicks in with the vetiver, which makes the fragrance dangerously smoky and sexy. Hot Couture is realy hot. Anyways - I own it, wear it occasionally and more or less pretty happy about it! The bottle is pretty unusual- a trapezoid- and i am excited to have this new addition for my collection, i didnt own any raspberry fragrances. This is just too woody/smoky/pepper. However, I've never received a compliment from a man, but women always comment on how gorgeous I smell and how unusual the fragrance is on me. What are the features of.
Hot Couture smells like raspberry sorbet topped with a dash of pepper. There's no tabacco listed as one of the notes but this does very much indeed smell like smoke. Um.. ok? I applied this liberally and had a Bluth Family Moment.. The EdT definitely suits me better.

Raspberries and pepper may be hot, but the wood and amber notes effectively mitigate this "peppery". It's not subdued, but yet it is not weak. Whether you love or hate this, I think you'll at least find it interesting. Who knew that raspberry and pepper could come together and make a scent as enchanting as this one? I have tried Hot Couture several on paper stripes in the store, and finally sprayed on me, it was an instant love, the raspberry in a minty fashion with some weird but nice baby powder hint. I don't get ANY berries from this beyond the first 5 minutes, yet something oddly and vaguely sweet lingers in the background. This is very strong- a girl at work wears it and while it's nice its projection is quite intense. It's one of those scents you walk right past in the stores and never think to try, but it's worth smelling. Washed my hands three times & I can still smell it. Soft, playful, but strong independent character, she has a lot of faces and decides which one you are going to see. The raspberry note smells natural enough, especially mixed with the pepper note. Post anything (from anywhere!), customize everything, and find and follow what you love. Create your own Tumblr blog today. I can't stop sniffing my wrists when I wear it. All the fragrances were interesting, apart from one that probably was stored awfully badly, and the last one I've tried was Hot couture. Coursework. I am not fan of fragrances heavy on amber but the amber here serves only as an ancor to the other notes. I live on the doubly whammy place so I have lost perfumes from the 60s (stored in boxes and in less warm places) bought by my father to 90s powerhouses to quite recent fruitchoulis. It seemed to me a little bit too light (probably because I'm wearing amarige mariage now?). They discontinued this for a while but then it was re-released but smelled slighty off. A sales lady came up to me and started telling me all about this wonderful new fragrance that had been launched just a few days earlier and that it contained notes of raspberry and pepper.

I found Hot Couture to be more raspberries than smokiness on my skin; I actually wanted more smoke! Recalling class of 1972. This is somewhat different for me as those memories are so long ago, and many of my friends seem to have not kept up on Cougar lore, but here QUESTION: I really love this, however it does not last very long on me. It smells fruity and feminine to me. One of my 1st perfumes that I still have it, no matter how many of them I'll change I still go back to this one because the way it smells its incredible and as my boyfriend would say "you smell eatable": ) I would never change it. A very classic feminine perfume that hugs and kisses u all day long. As for men liking this perfume - this is the FIRST time I have EVER tested a perfume (and I test a lot: ) ), come home, and my husband instantly opened his wallet and sent me back to town to buy a bottle. On the tester bottle it says "Oriental Fruity". It's unusual! It screams allure and mystery. Apply this one sparingly. I have a few bottles of the old, dark brown parfum: smoky, sexy, lovely. Worthless, not deserving of attention or good things. I would find it nauseous around me too, as some people wrote here. And I dislike the dry. How to! So smokey! Didnt like at all! Next, a feeling of satisfaction that occurs when the total mixture of the perfume clings to the skin until disappear (+ - 10 hours). A little goes a long way. I used to like this scent, it's sweet and feminine. The base is quite woody, but there's a definite hint of chocolate somewhere in there too! I really love collection #1 also. A bit expensive but definitely worth every cent!!!! Reading the review it is so strange how body chemistry works. Is there a difference between the perfume and the cologne? I'll give it another go before deciding its fate in my collection or offering it up for swap. Well, my boyfriend ATTACKED me and couldn't stop raving about it (maybe because he is diabetic haha) so now guess which one I'm going to wear? As the vetiver comes out to play with the pepper, something magical happens that really sets this fragrance apart, giving it a sultry smokiness. Otherwise, I get this beautiful sweet raspberry scent with a hint of pepper in it. Either it's because the scent isn't "my style" or simply just not potent enough to smell flattering. I never thought they would be so different, generally allways like more the Edp than Edt, but this is not the case. Clubbing, dinners, parties, dates..
It's a bit too artificial for my taste but it always smells really great when she walks past me ( this is called ambivalence). From that day til this I have never had a fragrance absolutely floor me! When/Where: Best for night-time in any season..but can be easily worn during the day as well, it's not too heavy. When the perfume had settled, I was still aware of a pleasant faintly fruity/peppery note but something else had started to creep in to kill off those lovely sharp sweet notes and that something was the distint scent of amber and musk which I did not like at all. A few teaspoonfuls can also be safely added to body wash and shampoo. I so love the pepper here: with anything else but raspberry it would have been suffocationg and blah, but they make such a beautiful marriage in this bottle! I appreciate its distinctiveness, it truly is a sexy perfume unlike any other 'sexy' perfumes. I will give it another chances for sure! Lancome's La Vie Est Belle (now there's a musky messy dry down!!!). It's so lovely and sexy, I love it forever. Bit later it intensifies into a sweeter (the berries must ripen while wearing this) smoky, peppery scent, not too peppery and not too sweet, not candy sweet, more like sophisticated sweet. Surprisingly peppery, which is an interesting twist. Essay writer. You;re rough outside but so fragile and nice inside. Oh and I've noticed more than a few heads turning when I wear this, aswell as countless compliments. I am intrigued by all the negative reviews for Hot Couture, since it is the first fragrance I've worn in years that all my friends have loved on me. The day I wore my sample of Givenchy Hot Couture I was feeling so very down. I blind bought this for a great price, it's always been on my radar since gourmand, over the top sweeties are my thing. It's uniqueness is the intense hazy smoke. Frankly, I am amaze, that this perfume is relatively young, because to me it just screams decadence (and I am a big fan of all things D!: )), and this is what the 20s would have smelled like in my imagination: deep red liquor and smoke floating around dusty parlours, gentlemen in suits and hats ladies in beaded tassel dresses.. The scent stays close to my skin for about 3 hours. After all this time, and in spite of all the others fragrances that I tested, Hot Couture Edt, definitely smells unique! It's rather generic for me. So far I am getting the berry smell again and it is high on my list of favorite yummy perfumes! Yes, it has a smokey vibe, but it's an alluring heat, not ashtray, pipe or cigar. It wears a tad sweet and cloying on me for the first hour, which puts me off, but then it's just lovely.
